Enjoy an exclusive tour of some of the most exceptional wineries in Central Macedonia. We will tour two PDO areas (Naoussa and Goumenissa) known for their fine Xinomavro, and will also visit the distinguished wineries of eastern Thessaloniki.
Our first stop is Goumenissa, where we will visit two organic wineries and learn about local varieties and the process of making low-intervention wines. We will then return to Thessaloniki for a meal and overnight stay.
On day two, we’ll visit historic Naoussa for tastings at two local wineries renowned for their xinomavro and enjoy a delicious meal at a local restaurant specializing in traditional local dishes. Next, we’ll return to Thessaloniki for an evening wine tasting at an urban wine bar.
Day three is dedicated to exploring the wineries of eastern Thessaloniki. We will visit one of Greece’s most eminent wineries and tour its esteemed wine museum. We’ll then explore two up-and-coming boutique wineries in the area for an unforgettable wine tasting and meal.
On this tour we’ll taste wines made from Greek varieties dating back to ancient times, along with newer wines made by innovative, visionary winemakers.
Our first stop is Kavala, where we’ll visit two wineries and enjoy a tasting and meal at one of the finest seafood restaurants in the area. In the evening we’ll enjoy another tasting at a wine bar in the city.
On day two we’ll travel to Xanthi to explore ancient Greek varieties and also become acquainted with new, forward-thinking winemakers. We’ll dine in Xanthi’s historic old town before returning to Kavala for an overnight stay.
Day three takes us to Drama where we’ll tour two wineries that are characteristic of the area before enjoying a meal and tasting among the vines. Return to Thessaloniki.

Day one includes visits to two wineries in PDO Amyntaio. Here we’ll taste the most exceptional, internationally recognized and award-winning sparkling wines Greece has to offer. We’ll enjoy a special lunch at the winery and spend the night in Kastoria.
Day two is dedicated to gastronomy, wine tasting and exploring the beautiful sites and historic buildings of Kastoria. We’ll visit a local winery and eat dinner at a restaurant specializing in delicious local fare. Overnight stay in Kastoria.
On day three, we’ll head to Siatista to taste the local specialty—wine made from sun-dried grapes. Our excursion will include a wine tasting and meal of local dishes in the winery. Return to Thessaloniki.
This tour is dedicated to exploring the organic wineries of the area, which extends from the southern slopes of Mt. Olympus to the mythical mountain of Pelion. No trip to this region would be complete without a tasting of the local savory pies and tsipouro!
Day one includes a tasting at an organic, boutique winery in the village of Kitros. Our next stop is a winery in Tyrnavos, where we’ll taste wines made from rare, indigenous varieties with our lunch. We’ll then continue on to Volos for a taste of the renowned “tsipouradiko” tradition—a dinner of meze (small plates) accompanied by tsipouro (a distilled spirit made from grape pomace). Overnight stay in Volos.
On day two, we’ll travel to Argalasti, a village on the southern side of Pelion, where we’ll visit a local winery that produces truly innovative and inspiring wines. We’ll then return to Portaria for dinner and an overnight stay.
The third day of our journey is truly a special treat. We’ll spend the day at a local organic farm outside Portaria, the mountain home of the mythical centaurs. Here we’ll learn how to make traditional local pies and then eat them (of course!) while tasting some of the best wines the region of Thessaly has to offer. Return to Thessaloniki.
