There’s no doubt that 2020 was a challenging year for us all. It disrupted our daily lives and routines, and robbed us of many of the things that we take for granted and bring us joy. We had to distance from our loved ones, and long anticipated trips had to be postponed. Many fell ill and, tragically, too many lives were lost.
It was also a year that brought opportunities for self-reflection and revaluation of personal beliefs and priorities. And while there’s no doubt we all faced extraordinary challenges this year, history has shown us again and again that after similar global crises, people come out stronger, wiser and ready to face new challenges and adventures.
Here at Oenosophy Wine Tours, we were forced to cancel all our scheduled trips for 2020. It was a difficult and disappointing decision, but one that was necessary to ensure everyone’s safety, which is our top priority. Despite this, however, we still managed to safely organize several memorable wine events which brought a little light and joy (and lots of Greek wine, of course) to everyone involved! There was the outdoor movie and wine night at Domaine Florian and the cocktail night at Bulldog and the Beast, one of our favorite bars in Thessaloniki. The Greek wine tasting tour on a sailboat in Kavala, the open-air Greek wine and cheese night at Mousthenis Farm, and the day-trip for tsipouro tasting in Naoussa.
2021 is just around the corner and bursting with hope and great expectations! We can’t wait to meet with our loved ones once again and are feeling more grateful and inspired than ever to share our love of Greek food and wine with our new friends from around the world!
We’ve been busy preparing the itineraries for our 2021 wine tours and will make the details available on our website very soon! Stay tuned and remember that better days are coming…
